Hi All.

How can I make XBMC load when I reboot or start up the xbox, can I just add a string to one of the files or will I have to make a custom bios for my xbox?

Thanks for your time.

Right I want to go down the route of reflashing my TSOP to load XBMC 1st.
I have downloaded "XBtool v1.0.23a" but I now have a problem the bios I have on my xbox is version "X2 4983" witch XBtool does not work with, so witch bios version should I now use?

Also is the system info within XBMC reliable, i.e, XBMC says I have a version 1.4 xbox, so meaning I need a 256k bios, or would it be best to rip off the lid and make sure?

thanks for your time.

can you not just replace the xbe that your bios is running with the default.xbe that xbmc comes with and have the rest of the files in e:\apps\xbmc
where c:\ would have default.xbe(xbmc) renamed to yourcurrentdash.xbe and place xboxmediacenter.xml in this partition also.

I am not sure about the new verisons of xbmc (i thought i remember reading something about it not being able to use a shortcut) but search around for the .xbe shortcut maker and create a default.xbe (or evox.xbe whatever your bios boots first) stick it in the root of whatever partition the bios boots from and ther you go. Or just do what I did and extract xbmc in it's entirety into the root of whatever partition the bios boots from and rename the .xbe appropriatly, although this could cause some issues if you have other stuff in whatever parttition the bios boots from, for me I use my e partition and just don't have anything else in there except for xbmc (and whatever little shit ms dash put there like gamesaves and sh*t).
