The demo grants players an exclusive chance to get behind the wheel of Test Drive Unlimited and sample some of its online and offline challenges along 40 miles of Oahu’s beautiful open roads. To add a bit of spice, players will be able to replay all of the challenges as many times as they wish in order to shave valuable seconds off their time-challenge records, or set about thrashing either human or AI competition in the races before heading to www.testdriveunlimited.com to view their global ranking.
great news indeed. although porting this game to the ps2 and psp is a joke, i only hope this doesnt hold back the 360 version since its being developed on the system first.

am I the only one who wishes this series went the way of ARMY MEN?
Have you been keeping up on the series? they're going a completely different direction with this one. Suposidly it's like a MMO Racer... Even if it sucks it sounds like a cool idea that's worth checking out
The last Test Drive game I remember liking was Test Drive 2 for PC. This is going way back to the late 80s or early 90s. I played this game in glorious 4-color CGA on my POS Tandy 1000RL like a champ.
However, I'm interested in trying this demo out. I never heard of MMO racing until someone mentioned it a few weeks ago. I'm very curious to see how this game is.

I thought Test Drive Eve of Destruction was Awesome. How can you not like smashing cars up in a derby.
And what do you mean by this game being a type of MMO? What more could they do besides let everyone race against each other? Are they going for the route like in Need for Speed Underground 2 where you had to drive around and find someone to race with. That would be cool to drive around a huge city looking for other Live racers.

Thats, the idea, except they've modelled hawaii, so you get more than just a city

it's not coming out next week, since when do these demo's actually come out on time
this one might, its a tie in with E3. It would make no sense if it got delayed and didnt fall in the same time slot with the E3 festivities they are trying to push on Marketplace.
It says between the 8th and 14th, I expect to see it on the 14th

It says between the 8th & 14th as they intend to only have it downloadable within that period to coincide with E3 so after the 14th it will not be downloadable, or so i belive.
