ok i doint want to go and buy a usb keyboard when i can just wire one up my self. this should be posible since you can buy converters that do it so if anyone has a tutprial or just wants to tell me color to color thats'll be great.

go on ebay and search for a usb-->ps2 adaptor i picked one up for about 2 pound (about four bucks) posted and that had two ps2 on it and if your using it for linux it will be fine not sure how it would act anywhere else (it works for xbmc)

It really varies on the keyboard and mouse, some work with no problems, other get completely messed up and don't work at all. If you want to use a PS/2 mouse/keyboard just snag a SmartFrag thingy which I've heard works fairly well in many xbox games.
An example where those converters don't work (even on pc's) is through a KVM switch, you can never get it to work haha
