Team XTender XCM 360 High Speed Air Cooler -- Posted by XanTium on May 19 11:08 EST
Team Xtender released more info about their upcoming XCM 360 High Speed Air Cooler:
[QUOTE]
Our XCM 360 high speed air cooler is to be released soon! Below are its descriptions and technical documentation:
External Xbox 360 air coolers can only cool the temperature of the Xbox 360's outer surface but do not cool the temperature of the CPU/GPU; therefore, making them useless to combat CPU/GPU overheating.
The XCM high speed air cooler directly cools the 360 CPU and GPU. Using internal temperature measuring devices, this product monitors the temperature of the 360 CPU and GPU.

XCM high speed air cooler's external controller will allow you to control the speed of the fan while it monitors the temperature of the 360 CPU and GPU. AUTO mode will automatically adjust the fan speed depending on the temperature of the CPU and GPU.

Liquid cooling would be about it.... or trade out for the other dvd drive.

So does this thing hook on to something or is does it control the fans. What does it do? All is c is a control board...

Looks like this little device adjust the speed of the xbox 360 fans, i think so. Its to small to have own fans in it. I'm wondering how they have done that just with a usb connection?

More info about it would be good , does it control the XBox360 fans or it comes with fans for every section of the motherboard?

Pointless. why void the warranty and buy something that you dont even need? the xbox does not overheat when put in an appropriate place. and if it did- MS will fix the problem likely for free. I say dumb idea on this one...

Also I wonder if theres a reason why the fans spin so slow. If we are having overheating problems now when more powerful games come out won't we have more problems? Or is it cause the games now are not the demanding that it runs slower and it would spin faster later on when more powerful games come out.

Pointless. The only people who will buy this are kiddies who want to make their 360s look 'hi-tech'.

Anybody can explain why this shit would cool the components when the nyko one would only cool the case?

All that the Nyko does is to speed up the original 360 fans of exaustion (on the back of the console) by adding 3 extra fans on top of original fans. Speed up the original fans have the exact same effect.

I think TE is after some easy and quick buck to fund their modchip researches...

I don't see the point of this, it does what the 360 does anyway, but it tells you what the temperature is, which i don't care about, i know it speeds the fans up slightly more than what the 360 does, but if it needed to be that fast surly the 360 would speed it them up more?
