My Pgr3 Xbox 360 Options

First of all, I'd like to thank the following X-Sers who have contributed their help, advice and/or items (in no particular order):

xboxexpert, sicknasty413, evilkeo, Dennis Knight, THC Kuma, GearGuy2001, chuckthefuk, G0t M4xx 21, BoNg420, henmill, staildonut, Suprakid, GSX (tut), aweirdguy (tut), deakphreak (tut), RDC (tut).


My idea was inspired by Suprakid's Xbox 360. I had a PGR3 faceplate sitting around and couldn't decided if I should keep it or sell it. Wouldn't look that great on a stock 360 so I decided to begin modding! Keep in mind that this is my FIRST mod that I've done all by myself and the FIRST time I've picked up a soldering iron.

So for all you guys out there that are new to this stuff, my advice to you is just open it up and start soldering! You'll never learn how until you start trying. I only wasted one (1) SMD!

- 2 x Krylon Fusion Camouflage Ultra-Flat Black
- 1 x Krylon Matte Finish
- 0.015" High-Tech Silver-Bearing Solder from Radioshack
- 13 x 0603 Red SMDs from BoNg420
- 8 x 3mm Red LEDs from LSDiodes.com
- 1 x 91Ohm resister from LSDiodes.com
- 24AWG Red/Black wire from LSDiodes.com
- 15/30W Soldering Iron from Radioshack
- Soldering Iron Holder/Cleaner
- 2 x 60mm Red LED fans from Coolerguys.com
- Low temperature glue gun
- 1000/1500/2000 grit Imperial Wetordry Automotive Sandpaper from 3M

I wanted to spray my controllers too... but I was suffering from X360 withdrawal... and just got lazy Maybe that'll be a project for another month.

To G0t M4xx 21:
Check out my HDD lights. Can't really see them like yours. What sort of LED layout did you use? I was hoping the red LEDs would really shine through... like, onto the ceiling!

that is a cool xbox, love the game heaps to! the red lights shining through the rear grill remind me of the trademark skyline circle tail lights! sweet job!

Ooo... Skyline...

Yeah thats the look I was going for... red light = tail lights Sorta looks like the new Infiniti tail lights too, but old school Skyline DEFINITELY kicks more ass.

Otherwise I probably would've went with white LEDs. Maybe for my next console
