I need help... I'm trying to backup the firmware onto the floppy and i keep getting this error
Port: 170, Master/Slave: a0

I have an MSI K8 MOBO
w VIA K8T800 Chipset.

The mobo is not detecting the xbox 360 dvd drive..

I'm running a raid 0 setup but I'm not sure If I need to leave one of my sata drives plugged in or not??
Right now the only thing connected is sata cable going from mobo and xbox 360 no hdd are connected. Are the suppose to be connected??

Any help is Appreciated. Thanks!!

i have a via chipset but i havent had any luck gettin the drive to read in the bios.
got me a little frustrated.

so ill have to wait to see if anyone makes it possible to get the key in windows instead of using mtkflash in dos....i know this dosnt really help but i saw you were using via also, and i think that might be my problem..

Hi
I have the same problem with a MSI K8N NEO3 grr.gif .

The IDE is read by MTK-NF4 but not the sata. It freeze when you ask them to read the firmware of a SATA blink.gif .

Port: 170, Master/Slave: a0 uhh.gif
I have try to plug the sata cable to SATA1 2 3 4 conector with no result and i have not activate the raid for them, supposed to be ok.... unsure.gif

So if someone know something about our problems let us know plzz! biggrin.gif
