my apologies, but I have one question, why is it necesarry to rename the xboxmediacenter.xbe to default.xbe? also do I just Rename it or do I do something else, like hex edit it somehow? my apologies once more for such a n00bish question!

Well i renamed it and FTP'd it over, not all i get is the load up xbox intro and it just sits at the xbox logo, and won't boot the dashboard....some one please help me

id ftp in erase everything you put on right before it stopped working. Then go to the usal place and download Auto Installer Delux3.0 (AID3.0) Then do what it says and itll install xbmc for you where you want it and tons of other crap you can choose from to install if you want. There are even expanded versions of aid all the way up to 3.4 wich have all the newest stuff for xbmc and such.

Well i got my xbox back up and running, thanks for the help, i keep on seeing that you ftp all the files over to E:/Apps/XMBC then rename the .XML to default.xbe....i do that and it just don't work
