Use XBTool to edit it. I dont know what version BIOS you have, but if yours doesnt work get the latest. I think its the X2 5035.

No that will be fine. I was saying update if you had the X2 4983, which is encrypted, and doesnt work with XBTool. 5032 will work with XBTool. Also, download this and write down the RGB values when youve customized the X logo. Then enter the values in custom color in XBTool.
And use FlashX to reflash the chip. This post has been edited by crap box: Jun 10 2006, 03:03 AM |

To the two people aside from the original poster: I admire your eagerness, but this is NOT going to help him if he has X2.5032.
To the original poster: I don't believe you can replace the X with another picture. It's just not a feature built into the X2.5032 BIOS. As for customizing... X2.5032 is what is known as a "Config Live" BIOS. This means it loads all settings, such as dash locations, logos, and the big X design, among other things, from a text file on the C or E drive named x2config.txt. FTP this to your computer, edit it, and FTP it back to where you found it on the box. The file itself is pretty self-explanatory, but it's probably a good idea to load it into X2ConfigMaker and edit it that way. It's linked off the main X-S page, although the current version was written in .NET and is missing many features the previous version had. If you can snag that one instead, great, although I haven't had much luck finding it. |

you use one of the files, but duplicate it to fit the bank on your chip.
Take a look at this if you dont know how to duplicate the bios files. if i remember right, everything else is covered in the ind bios readmes etc. |

My bad, I thought you were just changing the colors of the X. You would use iND-BiOS.5003.06 or iND-BiOS.5003.67 depending if you have an upgraded hard drive. Use .06 if you dont.
