Ok heres the deal:

my friend decided to be a noob with his unleash x softmod and did restore xbox w/o having the slayers evox autoinstaller..it's been a month already and no matter what that xbox goes to service error 16...any suggestions on how to make it work p.s. i have a copy of slayers...

did you copy your EEPROM?

if you did you can just rebuild your hdd, if you have a copy of the MS DASH wink.gif

Dont use slayers with softmods. Error 16 means it cant set the clock because he deleted the msdash. You have 3 options. If you have a backup of the eeprom then you can rebuild the drive in xboxhdm. If you dont have an eeprom backup, you will either have to chip it or hotswap the hard drive.

Ok then how do I hotswap it? b/c i cant get a chipped box.

error 16 also happens if you lock the hdd to another box/wrong password
