My games are still working even though I cant change the booktype with my DVD writer. Will this wreck my 360 or not coz I have stopped playing them just in case.
Im using
BTC 1116M writer
Imation DVD+R DL
Disc ID says RICOHJAP-some numbers

You should run a test program to see what booksetting your drive is doing by default. I bet it's already doing the dvd-rom type setting and your just not seeing it. I'm at work now, but someone here may have a booksetting test prog, just test one of the disks and see what type its reporting or other programs will tell you what your drive is set as. Do you know your firmware version for your drive?

Yeah its A091 and I do my backups with DVD decrypter and it says DVD+R DL in the right window...
The discs are dvd+r when read in dvdinfopro as well. Even after they have been written to. As soon as I go the change the booktype settings in DVDinfopro the prog freezes on me. I just hope its not gonna wreck my drive.
