Please read through the WHOLE guide before starting it. Also, you do this at your own risk, if you mess it up(I dont see how you can tbh) its not my fault, its YOURS!
Ok well after the latest XBL update I noticed my headset went kinda muffled. I put up with it for a few days and today decided to do something about it! Heres how I done it

Please note: I think I cut my one out a bit to far, I would suggest you cut out the shape around 15mm away from the outer edge, So your cut is just showing the black ear piece part and not any of the grey around it. However it works just fine how I done it.
Step one:
Get all the stuff you need. This includes the headset(DUH!), a pen, some scissors and a round object. I used a bottle top from a Evian water bottle, but anything will do tbh. Make sure the round object you use is atleaste 10mm away from the outer edge of the fome protecter that your going to cut though, or the fome will keep sliding off. I would suggest 15mm away from the outer edge.

Step two:
Get the bottle top, or w/e round obeject you are using and place it in the center of the fome, then draw round it with a pen.

Step three:
Now you have marked your cut, take off the fome protector from the headset. Cut out the inner part of the round shap you marked in step two.

Step four:
Pop the fome back on your headset! Your done! You should be able to hear people alot clearer now, and still have the comfy fome to rest up against your ear

Enjoy!

Idk if anybody has posted anything like this yet but I went and done this anyway. If you spot any typos or anything, let me know and I will correct asap. And sorry about the quality of the pictures, I had to use my mobile to take them
