Xbox 360 Complete Watercooling Kit by Koolance
Posted by XanTium | June 25 01:16 EST

We've already seen some custom build water/liquid cooled Xbox 360 consoles by Xboxexpert, hardocp.com and water-cooling.com and recently even a fully internal watercooled Xbox360 by Dano2k0

The guys at Koolance now come with a DIY liquid cooling kit for the Xbox 360 (available in black and silver):
[QUOTE]
Koolance's complete cooling kit for the Xbox 360 features the Exos-LT cooling system, CPU and GPU liquid blocks, AC power adapter, and special Xbox mounting hardware. Please see these individual links for details on the included Koolance products.

IMPORTANT NOTES: Modifying the Xbox 360 for liquid cooling is not for the faint of heart. Although minimal changes are actually required for the XBox, it can be a labor-intensive task that should only be attempted by experienced individuals. Any manufacturer warranty on the Xbox 360 is voided by installing or using this product.

Koolance does not provide any proprietary instructions for disassembling or modifying the Xbox, nor for attaching the cooling components. Please see the "More Images" link for the recommended product configuration. To maintain Koolance's product warranty on this kit, Koolance liquid coolant must be used. Koolance's product warranty does not extend to the Xbox 360 hardware.

Components Included
Exos-LT cooling unit (pumps/reservoir, radiator, fans, control board, LED display, etc.), Exos-LT user manual, Exos-LT AC power adapter, GPU/CPU cooling blocks, 1/4" (6mm) ID tubing and springs, liquid coolant, hose clamps, mounting hardware, external nozzles, thermal paste

$400? Is the console included?
I think its overpriced, but someone more into watercooling might think different

Clean, but the price is a bit steep. Nice way for Koolance to jump in the 360 Market.

Definitely looks like a good product, but obviously for the money, only those really interrested in water-cooling will even consider buying and it seems that those people would probably rather create their own setup instead.

New thermal grease and increased fan speeds are all that I need for cooling...I have more fun playing with my 360 than in my 360.

Ridiculous. A video game console should never need a water cooling unit. What HardOCP did was okay, as they are enthusiast and are not selling their product. IPB Image

The fact there is a consumer water cooling unit sold on the market says something about MS's console; lets see if PS3 and Wii run as hot.

Think about a consumer seeing this product on the shelf at Best Buy next to the X360. If Sony and Nintendo want to score some negative points against MS, all they need to do is bring up the point that MS's console runs hot enough that a market for third party water cooling units formed.

Did I miss something? #1 that looks really retarded to me. People complained about the little lcd on the back cooling mod. Now someone would come in your pad and see that and instantly think something is wrong with you. #2 Are X-Box 360's overheating that much? I mean I understand the mod community, but damn $400 bucks plus? I mean it looks like you have some kinda bomb on your xbox. That shit needs to be streamlines like a mutha!!!

They should give xboxxpert a cut. dry.gif

$400 for that rusty bastard is just nuts. Do you have any idea what you can piece together for that kind of money? This is a joke.

I totally agree man. You can't stack anything on top of the X360 with the water cooling unit attached. The guy who made a unit that fit entirely inside the X360 had the right idea. If an X360 owner ever has their console falter, the thought "if only I bought the $400 water cooling unit to cool my console" should never form.
