I was told that if you cold boot (Turn on xbox, insert game disk, turn off xbox, turn on xbox, play XBL) it will load the settings from the disk and I wont get banned? True, False?

im not sure but i think that they will scan you HD to see if there is any extra xbe files or files that are not supposed to be there.. so if thats true it doesnt matter if you load cd settings or not, those files will still be in the hd =D

True, False? Coldbooting does not load settings from the disc. What happens during a coldboot is a simple dvd check. When the xbox boots up, it checks to see if there's a disc in the drive. If it finds a disc, it'll play it before loading the dashboard. It's kind of like a PC. The boot order for an xbox is dvd drive first, then hard drive. If it finds a genuine game disc in the drive, it'll load the game before it loads your dashboard (where your softmod is). |

So if I play Halo 2 on Xbox Live on a softmodded Xbox, even if I don't mod Halo2.. will I get banned?
Does it depend on if its Matchingmaking or a custom game or what? |

You will get banned. M$ checks your xbox every time you log onto xbl, and if it finds any modded files they will ban you.

Stop pulling things out of your ass.
If you coldboot the game, you'll be fine. (assuming you don't have any modded Halo 2 maps on the drive) |
