what would be the easiest and safest way to flash the xecuter 2 lite should i buy a programmer or will the 4976.02 1 mb bios in the evox flash folder work just fine?it still has the original 4973 bios and i think it is time to upgrade.

Use X2 Bios Manager to build a 1 meg bios with the 4976.02 in the first two banks and the 4973 in the second two. Put the bios in /c/bios on your xbox. Add a menu item of Item "Flash BIOS",@1 to the evox.ini. take off the flash jumper from the x2l and flash away. If you get a bad flash in the first bank, take the bank select jumper off to boot into the other bank and reflash. You will only need a programmer if you do something stupid like unplug the box while it is flashing.

I would flash it via evox first. Just make sure its a 1024 sized bios when you flash it.

What i should of said is, "No, you will only need a programmer incase of a bad flash, which wont happen"
