1. Why haven't you secured your Xbox or padded it for bumps? It would be a shame to loose your hard drive.

2. Power inverter? That's a tad bit wasteful, man. If you have the skills, you should change power supplies so that you can run without an inverter. I think there is a tut in the hardware section.

I seriously love your install, though. It looks very slick, and the fact that you added a switch makes it even better. Do you have the sound all wired up, because if you do, that would be sweet. Thousands of tunes in your car! My dad has a Phatbox in his car, which is basically a hard drive that plugs into the CD changer. It is awesome.

1. Yes, it is indeed padded and secured with 4 L-brackets.

2. Nope, I don't have the skills to change the power supply, plus that means it would be dedicated to the car at that point. I like the flexibility of taking it out of there and using it in the house now and then.

Thanks for the compliments! The sound is indeed wired up via a Blitzsafe aux adapter direct into my factory stereo unit.

The goal really was to have my complete music collection available in the car (wouldn't fit even on a 60gb ipod), and I think that was accomplished. The videos/pictures/games are just icing on the cake.

See, that's the exact reason i have a 2nd xbox in my car, yet use an adapter. So when i go to friend's house's, or my brothers house, i can pull it out, and bam. Sure, he has a mod'd box (work by me) with a 100gig in his, but he's not quite into it like me, meaning i update both of mine (250gig in my car xbox, 300gig in my home xbox) with a lot of new releases/xbox games/tv series then him, so i'd rather use my car xbox when i'm over there, then his. Call me spoiled i guess, hehe.
And i thought about the hassle of using my laptop instead, which would be fine, but just using XBMC alone (and even better, when used with mc360!!!!), i MUCH more enjoy using an xbox in my ride, having the media collection, and play games here and there if need be.

Here's my stuff, it ain't much but it gets the job done.


Both the white xbox and controller were painted by me(the controller used to lool waaayyyy better),I put the clear case on the other xbox, both the controllers have added buttons on them and I added a button on the memory card. When one of those controllers is plugged in controller port 1 of either xbox it will turn them on or off,and when one of those controllers is plugged in controller port 1 of either xbox it will open or close the disc tray. I used to have lights in the clear xbox but they died.

Why would you show us screens of your mc360 dash ?.. They are looking for setups (stereo, tv,etc.) running xbmc. see what all the x-s members are working on !.. Anyways, I hope you don't smoke those ciggarettes They make you all limp and shit ! lol..

I'm not trying to crap on your post, but I don't see what your running your beautiful (looks like 720p ) mc360 on ..

Oh and by the way, Quebec sa succe ! .. Vive Le Canada , pas le quebec lol.. God, are you asking to be on the bad side of people lol

Please pardon my cell phone's awful camera quality; I've got a decent digicam but no freaking batteries!



Hard to see but the box is just a standard clear blue case with blue LEDs, and I have it set up in its own corner with its own 24" TV as a dedicated MC360 monitor with an Audio Rocker chair in front (not pictured). It works to have on a lot because of the wallpapers I made for MC360 (they fit the room's theme).

I took a shot of the other side of the room with the 30" HDTV that I occasionally put the Xbox on, but 95% of the time I just keep it on its own dedicated screen in the corner.
