So you can’t afford the premium package or a HDD for your Core? Problems loading those backups on your Hitachi drive since you cant use the HD/HDD trick? Well here is a small solution to the problem.. The guide shows you how to add a switch to your VGA cable so you can do the same soft reset as the guys that picked up a premium package or a HDD. You can adopt this guide to any almost any other cable you may be using

Enjoy! And yeah I’m aware i could just as well just rip out the cable from the XBoX360 plug it back in to make it do the same thing.. The thing is I’m LAZY and sticking my head behind the rack that my XBoX360 is mounted in is a lot more work for me then finding a switch with my fingers

Holy huge bump.

Here's a good example of why we don't like it when people bump old topics. It's old, obsolete, extinct, no longer needed anymore. The soft reset trick is history. The mediapatch fixed it. For anybody who cares, the soft reset was used back before Geremia's mediapatch when the Hitachi had problems detecting the ss on burned discs. By soft-resetting the system, the disc was left spinning but the dashboard was given more time to read the disc at the dash.
