It is always best to use the latest package, but this update is for new users,
if your drive is already v1.2, no need to update, if it is running v1.1, just
run the new FLASH.BAT to update the drive.

This update just addes one more version of Hitachi to the bundle, now
owners with the v40 drive can be happy playing backups.

I have found a minor bug on a 46DH.

In the instruction it says wait for the dashboard to time out "Open Tray" displayed and click eject to retry, this worked on the first 4 I tried it on but on this ones it does eject the tray.

The solution is to click the eject button after a few seconds, the display goes to "Opening", however it doesn't open and this seems to prime (for want of a better word) the auto retry and it works everytime.

Nothing major just a slightly different boot method, I have reflashed it 4 times and it stays the same.

I was facing similar experiences with 59 firmware....pressing eject would actually eject the tray...and this was happening throughout the day...but then all of a sudden...it started to work..so the last for times i tried pressing eject it continued to read and worked...wonder if it will ever go back to ejecting again..

If your drive is running Xtreme v1.0 or Xtreme v1.1, all you need to do is hook the drive
back on to your PC, and get it back into Mode B, and run the new FLASH.BAT right over
your existing firmware. It will flash and update the needed sections to Xtreme v1.2

GaryOPA Xtreme Hitachi-LG Firmware v1.2r1 - Not Ejecting

I used this firmware, flash went successful but Drive won't eject at all. Used computer to put it to Modeb to eject. This is the only way the drive ejects. I have tried multiple time to eject via dashboard and eject buttom but no go. I have also "press and Hold" at boot and at dashboard to eject, but no go. I tried this for a good 40 seconds and nothing.

Is there something I must be doing to eject?

Thanks
