i have got slayers autoinstaller 2.5 and on the disk is xbmc.i have evox dash on at the moment but i want to upgrade to xbmc on the disk i have the option to:
1:reset/reboot 2:save biose/eprom(c:\backup) 3:new install/full rebuild 4:apps/upgrades/lock/format.>4ainst/upg xbmc(p).m$dash,apps&evox+3935. 5:eprom/flashmodchip or xboxtsop 7:identify youre bios/modchip 8:system settings 9:power off xbox to upgrade do i go into option 4 then 4a>inst/upg xbmc(p).m$dash,apps&evox+3935.then inst/upg xbmc(p).apps&evox all on (f:)or do iput xbmc on (F:)and evox on (c:)or xbmc on (F:)and evox on (c:)or do i put xbmc on © and evox on (c:) . these are the options i have i figure if i put xbmc and evox all on (c:) i will need to reformat and start a fresh build i this correct? |

not quite sure what you are triying to do. The XBMC on any af the Slayers disks is too old. Don't install it unless you are building a new harddrive, and plan on updating it. Get the latest XBMC Latest XBMC. Compiled versions are available from the usual place, or many torrent sites have it as well. Follow the tutorial on xboxmediacenter.com How to update/upgrade

Get the latest XBMC and follow the instructions there on setting it to the dash.
There are different ways to do it depending on if you are chipped or softmodded. Edit - Beaten to the punch, but read the tuts for the latest version. |

Appreintly that shortcut did not work. Anyway, re-reading your post, I think you are wanting to use XBMC as your dashboard. here is the instructions XBMC as dash

thanks,yes i do want to use xbmc as my dash the version of evox i have is old,it does'nt even have the ability to copy dvd to hd.so a upgrade is definitely in order.
