I am cloning my western digital 120GB IDE drive, which is unlocked. I have a seagate 300GB IDE drive.

I cloned the WD to the Segate and it took maybe 15-20 hours (yes, yes it did). Every partition copied perfectly... the C and the E. F drive was a problem!

when I setup the segate as master and booted into xbrowser (in xbhdmaker) there was a whole mess of files there, but all of them were scrambled with numbers and letters.

The drive booted to MS dash, so the image was set correctly.

What should I do...?

p.s i tried Norton Ghost, and it didn't do anything right dry.gif

do you have a bios supporting larger hard drives (LBA48 mode)?

is xbhdmaker a a program to clone xbox hds? i also want to clone the content of my 160 gig drive onto a 250-300 gig drive. what are the possibilities, do I have to use a temp storage device or can I clone it? i have an smartxx, i read that you are able to enter the HDD section when a second hd is plugged. there is an option to clone the drives. would it work in my case? someone made experiences with that?

And another question, is it possible to replace the dvd drive with a second hd and use them both? if it works, would it affect the speed greatly? (bc itīs slave then)

sorry for becoming a little offtopic and my limited english skills, but at least I gave you possible solution for your problem wink.gif

I never had luck with Xboxhdm cloning a drive. After 36+ hours I gave up.

One option you have, is Xplorer360. I have used it to drag and drop files.

It seems to me that you can get your Xbox hard drive seen in Explorer using ftp://xbox:xbox@192.168.0.2/
changing the IP address as necessary.

Get Xplorer360 running and get to the F drive. Drag the files over to the F drive of the Xbox in the Windows Explorer window.

You mean connecting the new xbox hd to the pc and then starting to copy from the old 160gb hd (in the XBOX) to the new 300gb hd in the PC?

Does Xplorer360 just make an FTP connection... such as FlashXP or?

I'm guessing Xplorer360 emulates the FATX partition table, and allows it to be seen in windows?
