Looks sweet, but I thought it looked better with the black instead of red.

Stick a Dark Side of the Moon light-up jewel on that and you will be the man. smile.gif Much <3 to Floyd.

If you were doing a DSOTM themed X-box, sure.

If it were me, I'd do a marching hammer for the jewel, or the illiustration of the schoolmaster form The Worms segment.

I got to work on sanding the front, and painting the base today. Man are my hands tired...

Here is an approximation of what the case is going to look like (before any badging):

For some reason, the pictures made it look like the front was darker than the top, so I took this picture to show they are very close in shade:

On to the bottom... First I laid a few layers of white to act as my base

After a few layers of red, the tape came off and here is what the base looks like:

I made sure to tape up the stickers to give it more of a 'stock' look:

ha, I've got a 360 and another Xbox. I actually need another xbox top and I will have (3) xbox cases, one is a LE Mountain Dew though. I am really thinking about getting an airbrush... have been for a while... just havn't had the spare change laying around to get the kind I want happy.gif

This is actually the longest I've went while modding one thing...

I am really considering doing a 360 case in the Dark Side of the Moon (DSOTM) theme... but that will be a while off. I am also really considering selling this 'The Wall' case once I complete it for a little money to put towards an airbrush and an xbox top to mod another case, but that's still up in the air.

I've got a tough decision to make on this case on whether to go with a clean 'The Wall' logo (from the vector images I posted earlier), or to make that too feel more 'roughed'... unsure.gif decisions, decisions blink.gif

Wow, that's quite impressive blind! The time involved in the "brick work" would have driven most people insane.....er, comfortably numb. blink.gif While I'm posting I may as well throw in a joke....... What do Pink Floyd and Dale Earndheart have in common.............Thier last big hit was The Wall. jester.gif

Sorry for the lack of updates recently guys... but as I do not have a garage and my spray 'booth' is the yard, I've not really had any days that were appropriate for spraying. It's been HOT HOT HOT, humid, wet, windy, oh and did I mention HOT! I'm trying to avoid orange peel and specs from the wind, but today it cooled down a bit, it was still windy, but I took my chances.

I was finally able to lay some white on the front middle wedge and black on the dvd tray:

IPB Image

After getting everything taped off:

IPB Image

I got outside and in my spray booth, with my high tech equipment (yeah, that's a stick biggrin.gif )... it just goes to show you, that with a little patience and work, McGyver style can be down right professional.

IPB Image

After a bit of white (as a base for the wedge as well), and a bit of red, my box is starting to look almost complete:

IPB Image

You may notice here, I had a boo-boo on the dvd faceplate unsure.gif . Part of this is due to me getting rushed, and part of this is due to the heat/humidity which made the paint dry much much slower than it did previously. I am going to see if I can save this with some sandpaper, but I may just do this part of the plate again... rolleyes.gif

You can also see here that I decided to fill in the port numbers and the ports with black instead of red... this was a hard decision, and I am uncertain I like it, but we'll see what becomes of it...
