I was using http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=332179 tutorial, i thought i was following everything correctly but so happens i forgot to add UXE complete to my c and e folders... so not knowing this i hotswapped my xbox drive into my computer used xbrowser to backup. I then went into xboxhd to install the exploit it then asked me to "PLEASE INSERT FILES FOR DRIVE C" i didn't knwo what went wrong, so i turned off both the computer and xbox. I then read some more and understood i needed UXE so i burned the iso with the uxe complete 0.2 files. Now hotswapping isn't working because how i hotswapped in the first place is i waited for the LED light to turn red but now it doesn't. If i have the dvd ide cable plugged in i get error 16, if its not plugged in i get error 12. ive also tried to hotswap with ide cable in and not in the dvd drive.

So if anyone has a sulution it would be much appreciated love.gif , i have plans to upgrade to a 80 gig drive so if i can build a new xbox hd that would be cool laugh.gif .

FYI my first time attempting to mod in any way so im a n00b

You should still be able to hotswap..Even with the errors...Just got to time it rite..

Also You should try kingroaches Ndure with xboxhdm..

Goodluck
EDIT:
Also like to add that its a goodideal to give the guides to installers a good read over so you understand everything...

thnx for the help Epaige biggrin.gif
ok yes my timing was just wrong, and the loose display cable didn't help either :/

Now that I am able to get back into my xbox drive i have continued to install exploit 1.
format drive C
copy CD\C into PriMas\C
went into xbrowser
copied folder ROOT from CD\E into PriMas\E (the guide says CDROM\E)
used command poweroff
turned off xbox

Then i went to go test too see if the exploit would boot... all i got was the Xbox startup screen with MS logo waited for 45 seconds and then nothing.

Did you run the 2 needed batch files in uxe-complete before making the cd ? Check the readme.txt file.. the c:complete folder is not complete untill you run at least 2 of the 4 batch files according to what setup you want (again.. read the txt file)

edit... also use xbrowser for copying the files to c: ...looking at you're method it looks like you are copying the folder 'C' to the xbox c: drive, you need the files in the 'C' folder to be on the root of the xbox c: (just check in case)
