I just installed the new xbmc build (7-25-06) and I cannot get xlink to work inside of xbmc anymore help please??
xbmc settings:
My Programs: Xlink Kai: Enable Xlink Kai: checked Enable Kai Notifications: checked Xlink Kai XTag: My xtag entered correctly Xlink Kai Password: My password entered correctly Engine Ip Address: 192.168.1.105 (My computer's current ip)
PC xlink settings:
UI: default Profile: Engine only (for dashboards) Kai Port: 0 Kai Deep Port: 0 Enable PAT: checked Launch UI: unchecked Launch Engine: checked XBox Homebrew: unchecked Network Adapter: Autodetect and lock Show dangerous NICs: unchecked Default XTag (Username): My xtag entered correctly Default Password: My password entered correctly Auto-login: checked Close Engine After: Never Accept UI Connections From: Any IP Address
This is exactly how I had it set before and it was working perfectly but now it won't connect in xbmc and I don't understand why...

Are you using a router? If so go to this link and forward port 30000, it's easy to do I set up mine the other day and before that I never even heard of port forwarding. http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm

I've also noticed that when I restart my computer that's running the xlink engine sometimes the ip address of that computer changes. I just go into my router and look at what computers are connected and the ips.

thats because your using DHCP .. u can assign your pc a static ip that will never change and shut DHCP off on the router ..
