I would, but that chip is pretty hard to find. The only place in the US i saw to order it from (without having to order a shitload at a time) was badflash (http://www.badflash.com). But I'm leaving the country in about a week and a half, so even if I did order from them it probably wouldn't get here in enough time for me to make a working 9-wire mod.

Nah, I go with the 29 wire mod. Sure, it's more work, but I dig it.

Plus, the 29F040B IC that I use can be found and is pretty cheap - about $3.00/ea.
