I think it would be great if you added a subforum in the off topic forums for MSNTV2 Linux. You can purchase a MSNTV2 on ebay for under $30 (as seen here) and it runs a 733Mhz Intel Celeron, 128mb ram, 2 USB 2.0 ports. TV out, and a bunch of other goodies. The reason it would be great to have a subforum here is that the forum where everyone used to talk about this disappeared off the face of the earth. The MSNTV2 is another MS product that is cheaper then an xbox and great to run Linux on and use as a media center. I know it's not a game console but I'm sure a ton of guys who run Linux on there xbox would love to know about this. Also if more then just a handful of people know about this I'm sure development would take off.

I found someone who made a copy of the original how to if anyone is interested... http://www.smittys.pointclark.net/rm4100/viewtopic.php?t=1

I would be VERY interested in this. They're cheap and you can already run Linux on them. I think the thing that would make it so great is it's like XBMC, but cheaper...and better in terms of controlling it. Wireless Mouse/Keyboard/Remote makes it just that much better than XBMC alone. And since the specs are similar to an Xbox, I'm sure it would have no problem running. Any idea what Linux distro this thing can run? I think the best solution would be an incredibly small distro like DSL (even smaller than DSL actually) with just an XBMC-like application based off of mplayer. XBMC is based off mplayer, which runs on Linux. I don't see how this couldnt' be done, but it would be a rather big project. Anybody else interested in this? It's hard to find information on hacking this (you said the site went down).

Fourth'd.

Looks pretty cool (and more importantly cheap) in my book!

Sounds like a great little device to have!
