Hi guys,

In the process of attempting to flash my v59 drive, and so far I can not get Windows to see it. Have tried the Slax method so far (would like to try as many options as possible before having to try the wire), and the drive is recognised in the BIOs but never in Windows. I have even attempted to install windows using the 360 drive which fails just before installation properly gets going after driver load.

I have also made a fresh install of XP on another partition to ensure there are no Nvidia IDE drivers lurking around, but to no avail so far. I am using the third SATA socket on my mobo, with two IDE CDROM drives preceding it, and two SATA HDDS on SATA ports 1 & 2.

I have the Asustek Asustek S939 nForce4 SLI X16 ATX A L R motherboard. ANy ideas on what to do next?

did you right click on my computer and check device manager?
if it is there just check properties and click populate for it to show up.

if that does not work, then there is nothing you can do with that sata on your mobo. just get a separate sata card. please see my post on my hitachi flashing experience for the sata card that works perfectly.

Yes I also did try to see if it was under device manager.

Where can I buy this card you speak of? I saw it mentioned in your post, could you give me a product name?

I wonder if buying something like this would work:

use 2 wire with a resistor or buy the connectivity kit. either one should give 100% results

I just ordered the connectivity kit, I would have gotten one sooner if I had known, looks good.
