I used the manual method for injecting the key. No matter how I burn the back up, I get the above mentioned error. My question is...

Any way I can look at the modified.bin file to see if I injected the key properly?

Also, if you put a backup in an unmodified 360, would you get the same error?

Thanks.

does it still play original games? as to your question , if you open up the bin file in a hex editor ,compare the data from lines 4000 to 4200 in your hacked firmware to the same lines in your orig firmware , they should match if all went well

Yes. I am just worried if I may have opened the orig.bin and injected the key in that instead of the xtreme32 bin by accident. I'm pretty sure I didn't, but I can't otherwise explain the error I'm getting. Unless I should go out and by a Pioneer burner and some Verbatims (using Fuji on Lite On SHW-1635S right now)

I compared the modified and original between 4000 and 4200 and they are the same. I am just concerned I didn't inject the key in the orig.bin, thus making the exact same file. How does orig.bin differ from xtreme32.bin?

what dvd drive have u got , hitach or samsung? if its the samsung , then media or burner isnt as much of an issue , however if you have a hitachi drive , then pioneer 111 and verbatim media are the order of the day biggrin.gif doh just noticed xtreme32 , so must be a samsung , if you injected your key back into your orig.bin and flashed then you effectivly returned your drive to stock firmware

the orig.bin is your stock firmware , xtreme32 will allow you to play backups , it sounds to me like you have maybe reflashed it with your original firmware.can you not get a loan of a known working backup from a friend?

I am pretty positive I injected the key in xtreme32.bin. Is there any way to check that at all, or do I need to re do it?

best way to check the flash is a known working backup , if not i would suggest dumpint the firmware again and comparing it to your orig.bin , there should be a few differences in the code when compared in a hex editor

Yea, I don't know anyone that modified their 360. Do you have any idea which lines should be different between orig.bin and modified.bin/xtreme32.bin (besides the key)
