Well i might be getting the game in a few days so if you need more testers i would be more than willing to give it a shot. And just so you know, the mdl files are the same for xbox and pc.

I'm bumping this for good reasons!

I've played a lot of source games, and the idea of playing Gmod on the XBOX was a dream I thought impossible; until I noticed the structure of the XZP files could be more than just injected and overwritten.

Why not replace all the materials, lists, graphics, and configs, with those of another HL2 source game? All it requires is swapping out the materials and exceptions lists! But I cant get my injector WORKING!!! Lynx9 via #xbins just scrambles everything. That's all I need....

i'm sorry for necropost, but can i download some custom models for pc and swap with them some of xbox ones?
i mean, i for example would sertanly put some crysis models for combines and replace alyx with some asian chik or someone else smile.gif

is it possible?

A few simple edits and you can leave the xzps extracted and hack the files all you want - not just in the cache, either.

Well, after some major searching, I got a hold of Lynx 8. Download link is here: http://www.mediafire.com/?4bueuggrc2ck487 The program really works, and I was able to mess around with the graphics settings in the dxsupport_xbox.cfg file. When I enabled DirectX 8.1, anti aliasing, parallax mapping and picmip the shadows in the game looked pretty damn awesome. But if you get further away from the object, shadows look pretty much like they were before. If anyone is interested what I changed:
"DefaultRes" "1024"
"MaxDxLevel" "81"
"DxLevel" "81"
"ConVar.mat_antialias" "1"
"ConVar.mat_picmip" "1"
"ConVar.mat_parallaxmap" "1"

Ideally, some edits could make the game run faster, despite looking worse, right?
I'm kinda pissed at some of the laggier moments...

Anyone have an idea what version of the Source engine this port is based on? Maybe HL1 source could be injected? ((Or I'm hopeful.))
