Well I received my X3LCD from another X-S member. I was all pumped to install it but little behold: I can't get any text to show. Amazing really sad.gif . I have the contrast wheel all the way up, LCD enabled, and brightness all the way up. I think it has something to do with the connection between the frame and the back of the screen because an old box that had a X3LCD had a little bit of an issue on the top, but it was alright because the XECUTER 3 text wouldnt show up. But I dont know about this one. Is there a specific way to have the pins on the back? I've tried straight up at an angle and I've bent them. Here are a few pics:

That last picture looks like theyre at weird angles, but I think the picture just came out weird. I cant figure it out ahh! Any suggestions?

If the contrast is all the way up, you don't see text if I remember rightly, as the screen is swamped in light. A combination of control settings is needed to get the text to show at it's best. Brightness does not affect the visibility of the text unless at 0. Contrast on the wheel definately does.

I think I am right in saying that you only see text from the X3 when you have booted to the onboard settings by holding white as you power on. Else make sure you have LCD/VFD enanled in the app you are using....XBMC has the best infomation, but running DVD2XBOX will also yield text if the display is enabled.

If you installed the RAM - nice one!! pop.gif
