Scientist quote that stuff is this old say 70 million years old then evolutionists say DNA can't live for more than 10,000 years... How the hell do they know? It's nothing more than a theory and this discovery just could possibly break this theory... I believe if you preserve something just right and stay the same temperature it can live for however long... The soft tissue was in the middle of a bone that they broke in half. So that means it had a shell around that tissue and was deep in the ground obviously and would have stayed revelantly the same temperature. So what do you think?

I think that is awesome. Maybe a Jurrasic Park in the future?
I am not sure because it has been a long time since I looked at this stuff. But, I think human DNA can only be traced back 10,000 years. Not a physical limitation of the life span of DNA but, the fact that none can be traced back to be older than that. I would assume that under the right conditions DNA can remain detectable and therefor reproducible forever. That is at least how I remember it. If their was a 10,000 year limitation then the Asian scientists looking for mammoth DNA would be wasting their time.

I agree with you ghost. I found this topic in another forum and decided to post it here as well and I mentioned the same thing in there about how they can age certain things. It makes no sense whatsoever and it's only a theory since they really can't prove their statement 100%.

i think its cool that they found it
but i think its dumb how scientists age stuff
they use circular reasoning to age fossils
age the fossil by the layer age the layer by the fossil
sometimes layers are dated by fossils, sometimes fossils are dated by layer, but never at the same time, or on the same site, so its not actually circular, just another strawman used by young-earth creationists
