OK, I have set up a secondary PC for x360 work

I installed a PCI SATA controller with VIA VT6421L controller This One

I am using the xecuter connectivity kit v2, switch to on, blue led x is lit up, both buttons, mode and eject are in up position

I formated a dos bootable floppy and copied MTKFLASH .exe and typ (this is a hex edited one for the via chipset Here )

I have disconnected all IDE and even tried disabling IDE channels in bios

I have been unable to get anything the remotely resembles the drive being seen.

I have tried every version of the command I have seen:

mtkflash r /m orig.bin ; mtkflash r /m /sata orig.bin ; mtkflash r /m sata orig.bin ...

Right now I am getting:
Port: 1480, Master/Slave: a0

I have tried to hex edit my own version of mtkflash but the info msinfo32.exe gives does not have some of the info in the guide

hmmm, dont have an edit option for the thread.

Sammy is

Try using Xtreme Boot Maker to make a custom MTKFlash. Don't power up the connectivity kit until you get to DOS. Try that and see if it works.
