I didnt like Gears of War at 1st.. I think the 3rd person perspective annoyed me.. and I really was not all that impressed with how it looked

After playing it 4-5 hours I like it a lot more.. but I still dont really see it being anywhere near as amazing as it is hyped up to be..

I am having as much or more fun playing FEAR.. man that game controls well and I like the 1st person better

It's has Online Co-Op, which is awesome. Multiplayer is awesome. This is the best looking game on the 360 to date and for once, it doesn't run like shit

Hey, it's a really awesome game Dude.. Probably the best the 360 has seen. IT IS A GAME EVERYONE MUST HAVE !!!

But I am just being honest and telling you they made it sound like this was going to blow your frigin socks off, like it was going to revolutionize everything you know, like it was going to show you graphics you never imagined... etc etc etc blah blah blah

At the end of the day its just another shooter, and doesn't look anywhere near as amazing as they lead everyone to believe. I really dont see how the graphics are that much better than other things on the 360 right now.

I got COD3, FEAR, and GEARS OF WAR.. sitting here and I am having trouble finding time to play all 3, they all kick ass.. and it's a good thing too cause my 360 has collected dust most of the year. Now we finally have some good games.

Just for the record.. FEAR is just well done.. graphics are not at the level of COD3 and GOW

Eh no offense to Cliffy, as he does a great job of PR for his company, but I'd take anything he says about technical potential or limits with a grain of salt. I know many people worship this man but IMO there would be better people to talk to about the topic then him.

I think that he said this because he now see's the potential REVENUE in the 360 and I'm sure MS is kissing up to them right now. He sounds like a politician sometimes, just say what the fans want. When everyone was all hyped over the PS3's "in-game graphics" he hype it up. When things start to change and people turn on Sony for their lies and elitism so he attack them and took another side. He states that he was the reason for the greater hardware in the 360 and they "pushed it to the limits" then says "we've only stratched the surface".

I think sometimes he likes to eat his own words. He seems to get so worked up sometimes that he says things he doesn't really mean and then someone back at Epic tell him "umm thats not really accurate".

But really I do respect the man and I do in fact like him. He's an interesting character.

Please tell me what type of television you are playing this on. I'm not going to disrespect your opinion or anything but I am curious as I've been playing it (not much as I've had work to do) on a 50" SXRD and I must say it is clearly the best looking game on the 360 or any console to date. I can think of maybe a few PC games that look slightly better, but on the most top of the line computer available today.

I'll just close with, I was very impressed.

Are you playing this on a HDTV? Because on my LCD, it's very clear how other games on the 360 don't even compare to this graphics wise. The lighting is awesome. On the board where your trying to get into that factory and it's raining. You think those are subpar graphics???

Exactly.....This game is hands down the best looking game on the 360 and it runs at a smooth framerate + plays really well online. almost no lag at all in all the games I have played so far. I dunno... Maybe he's used to PC games. I know to PC gamers, these graphics are nothing new.

For the peopel asking what I have for a TV..

I have a HDTV Sony Wega XBR TV (picture tube) that I am playing it at 1080i Composite Cables when I am in the living room.

I also have a SAMSUNG 244t that I hook the 360 up to via VGA when I am in my computer room. That is a 850.00 24 inch LCD from hell. It is as bad ass as it gets for that size.

I move the 360 reguarly.. and have played GOQ equally on both..

And you don't see the difference between GOW and other good looking games like Fight Night Round 3 or GRAW? Like you said it is a must own game. The only thing I hate is having to hold up and hit A twice in order to jump over an object. There should be a button that is just for jumping over stuff.

You guys are not lsitening to what I am saying. It looks awesome but it isn't anywhere near what they lead everyone to believe.. That's all I am saying. I didn't drop my jaw and drool all over myself and that is definetly the image they portrayed.

Oh well....for me I think it does live up to some of it. But think about it, how many games live up to the hype That's the one reason I don't listen to all of the hype sessions. They mostly seem to dissappoint.
