Microsoft Refuses To Acknowledge Wireless Headset Flaws
Posted by XanTium | November 18 23:46 EST

From xblradio.com:
[QUOTE]
If you are one of the 360 owners who bought a wireless headset and cannot get it to work, you are not alone. It seems that many 360 wireless-headset owners are having trouble being heard! (even with their headsets on)

Issues such as: constant communication drops, excessive beeping during conversations, clarity of dialogue during chats, and a very small line-of-sight area have made the headset more of a hassle than a conveinience. Many consumers of the headset have tried, to no avail, to get support on their headset woes. So far MS has yet to acknowledge that the headset is causing a lot of consumer woes. One website, 2 old 2 play, even posted a story about their quest to get support from MS. However, in reading the article it seems we at XBLR are not alone.

I don't have any isssues. What people need to underswtand is the wireless headset runs on a wireless frequency. Why don't you try to change the frequency on your router, phone etc to see if you can clear things. I can talk on xbox live all the time with my headset. THey hear me clearly.

This may come as a shock to you, but the wireless xbox controllers, and the logitech wireless headset for the original Xbox also run on a wireles frequency. They work properly, because wireless devices are supposed to be designed to handle a certain level of interference from other wireless devices.

I have no doubt that yours works fine, but it does appear that a much higher than average number of people are experiencing this problem.

It's ignorant to assume that just because you have no problems that no one else does.

with my headset I can have around 15 ft of distance before it starts cutting out. If I have any walls between me and the 360 it will cut out and while talking its always cutting in and out.

I bought one and I've only had 1 problem which is excessive static maybe once out of ten times of turning it on. To fix it, I just turn it off for a minute and turn it back on. Other than that it's worked flawlessly for me and I love it. Doesn't mean that other people have the same good expierence as me and I hope that you guys get the customer service that you deserve after paying for the headset. Good Luck! smile.gif
