PS3 Bluetooth Controller Issues?
Posted by XanTium | 22-11-2006 23:48 EST

From kotaku.com:
[QUOTE]
Here's an issue that's been nagging me since I got my PlayStation 3 on Friday. I'm playing Resistance online, and suddenly the map will come up, or the score. I didn't hit the controls to bring these up...they just pop up on their own. Then at times I'll lose control, spin around, or sometimes even fire without wanting to. At first I thought it might be my general suckage at FPS games, but several readers have now complained about similar situations. Doesn't seem to happen when I am plugged in via the USB cable...only when I am wireless, and generally only when I am playing online.

Yeah, sometimes even when I'm playing the demo I'll stop moving for no reason...it's really annoying.

Well, if you go online using WLAN IEEE 802.11b/g than this is highly probably. After all IEEE 802.11b/g and Bluetooth share the same freqcuency range.

Same thing happens to me.

Always the same thing: out of nowhere I will start to strafe left and the R1 (fire) button, all the rounds in my magazine usually fire off and then it goes back to normal after a second.

Sucks in multiplayer.

btw, im not using any wireless networking in my apt. but thee are several in my building.

Nice list of requests is being compiled and sent to Sony over at AVS:

Notice how there isn't a whole lot a bashing or "Sony sucks", just people making suggestions for improvement. I mention this because I believe a lot of bashing occurs here under the guise critiquing or suggestion.
