Hey,

My chipped xbox 360 has been working fine and now I decided to go LIVE!, so I went to get it and it said that an update was needed. So I got the update and now everytime I turn on my Xbox 360 it comes up E66 and System error in about 10 languages.

I know I can send this back to the place I bought it and they will fix it for me for free, but does this mean after its fixed I can play live? Or can you not play live now?

Please reply ASAP.

Cheers, Rowan

Thanks, but out of all of these, what one should I do:

IF YOU HAVE RUN INTO E66:

* Option 1 - Flash back to original firmware, this works every time.
* Option 2 - Manually hex-edit your drive key into your modified firmware and flash that firmware. This seems to have a pretty good success rate.
* Option 3 - If you have an MS25 drive, try flashing to Xtreme 3.2-3.3. If you have an MS28 drive try 4.0-4.2. You can also simply try manually hexediting your drive key into 4.1/4.2, and then flashing your MS25. This is sometimes effective.
* If you can't get 4.1/4.2 firmware to work, try hex editing the firmware to make it read as MS25. The method can be found here.

Please reply, I cant stand not playing my xbox lol.

Please I need assistance on this, I cant stand not playing my Xbox sad.gif

Also, My company that sold me the Xbox is saying I shouldnt risk doing this myself as I could break the whole system and theres soldering involved. Is there?

Cause I just thought it was a case of opening the Xbox, connecting it to the PC, running some programs etc and done.

So please, someone help..

If they sold you the box with the chip, let them take it off.
Until then, it's dead.

Kl, the thing is, say I pay £50 to get it sorted, then in a month another update is out, is that another £50 each time an update is out?
