Well, I'll try to make this as quick as possible.

If you go the DVD Firmware Flashing method of modding your Xbox, for every new backup you want to play, do you have to reflash the 360 with new firmware from the Original disc, and re-open the xbox up?

Or, is it like the original Xbox, in that, once you flash it once and close it back up... you can play all your backups freely? Thanks.

well what would you flash it to if it was already flashed ?? this question really does not make sense.

you flash it... it then ALLOWS backup games to work on dual layer dvd .. done.

to make a backup .. one way is to use the 360 dvd drive...
back in the day firmwares had one firmware for backing up a game.. then you had to reflash to another firmware to play backups... if you had another game you needed to make a backup of you would flash back to the "backup making firmware" then back to the backup PLAYING firmware etc etc..

for a long time now.. the firmwares allow BOTH to happen in one firmware.

read the tutorials and the nfo that comes with the firmware files it explains this.

if a updated hacked firmware comes out... and you want to use it.. for whatever the reason;.. then yes you will have to reopen the box and reflash it.
