there are (currently) 97 VIA VT6421L cards available from the following UK based vendor at ebay.co.uk for £3 each: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Serial-ATA-PCI-Card-...5QQcmdZViewItem

the postage is pretty reasonable too. personally i'm going to use the most expensive option available, recorded delivery at £7, as i have waited for 10 days for a 6421A from a different vendor (sent first class standard), and it hasn't turned up mad.gif

oh i don't believe it. i just paid for one of these and thought i'd doublecheck with the guy that it was the via chipset as advertized.

turns out that it isn't this chipset... probably the alim5283, i'm not sure, he didn't say.

anyway, he's refunded my payment but obviously if you're after a via vt6421L then the link in my last post is not the place to get it from.. sorry 'bout that
