Hello... first post!

Ok... this has been asked before a couple of times but the replies have been mixed. The consensus seems to be that the 6421L Non-RAID is the ideal card to get... but is also increasingly harder to find in stock. I found it here: http://www.cybersprinter.com/item_descript...sp?prodid=66637

But when I received my package in the mail today it was the 6421a RAID version. Not what I ordered... but before I crack it open I just wanted to see if anyone had first hand experience with it.

So can someone clarify that both the A and the L versions work? and that both the RAID and Non-RAID flavors work as well?

Is there anything special one must do with the raid version differently? Also, will the pre-edited mktflash work the same for both the A and the L versions? Or are there different mktflash's for each card? Sorry for teh n00bz0rz questions... trying to soak up all this info in the last few nights of reading here =)

it works fine, i have the 6421a card. It shows up as a VIA 6421A RAID controller within device manager.
Use xtreme boot maker to create ur boot disk/usb/cd and follow textbooks guide (http://www.360mods.net/Downloads/details/id=61.html).
