Hi,
I am a total newbie, so be gentle please.

I have an Hitachi 47d drive which I attempted to get into Mode B by using the 2 wire trick. I still couldnt get the drive recognised in windows.

When I hooked it back up to my Xbox it now no longer ejects or read disks in it. I made the leap and bought the Xecutor Connectivity Kit V2 with USB.

I can see the drive in windows now and restore/flash the firmware but still no luck when I put it back in the console.

Is there a way around this, or am I on Ebay tonight for another drive?

Any help greatly appreciated

Slinky

Hi,
I honestly dont know what happened, I did the two wire trick and the tray come and out and in and the green light pulsed.

I have just ordered another drive - I actually had a 46dh and gone for a 47, so hope I can figure out the whole key import process.

Thanks for the response.

Can you eject the drive from the dashboard?

No , i don't think he can eject anymore. The mn103 chip got fired and can't execute the eject command anymore. The only way to make it work is to put the drive in modeB and open the tray manually to play games or buying a new drive will be fine
