Hello.

I have the day off on Monday and am going to attempt to flash my 360.

I have the samsung drive with the ms28 firmware.

This is what intel says about my mobo:

Intel D915GAV

Up to eight USB 2.0 ports
- Four ports routed to the back panel
- Four ports routed to two USB headers
Four Serial ATA (SATA) channels, via the ICH6, one device per channel
One IDE interface with ATA-66/100 supporting up to two devices
One diskette drive interface
One parallel port
One serial port

From this I read that I will not need a hex editor (ICH6) correct?

Also, the guide im going from is Geebee's v41 which says this FW has to be done through VCC. My Motherboard wont accept bad flash method as its not VIA again is this correct?

Finally the guide I have is v41, 21.08.06. I is there a more upto date version with more upto date practices on? Ive serached around but have only come up with this one, Its just that I now the firmware is now upto v4+.

Thanks in advance for any help/guidance offered...

im pretty sure ur intel is supported in the origional mtkflash file but if it isn't download xtreme boot maker and it will custom edit the mtkflash for you, then just go into the mobo and disable everything on the drive (ide and sata 3,4) and boot from your floppy drive or flash drive and it should work without a hitch.

ull need to get yourself a pci card if you want to do your flash the easy way without messing with any PCB components. your sata chipset will not work for an ms28
