I'm using the Mechinstaller softmod scenerio. I've transferred all three savegame hacks onto my xbox.
When I ran install linux, the install failed (as expected for a 5960 Dashboard with a 5101 kernel). However, when I ran emergency linux I could telnet into the xbox from my pc. I have the command line!


is there a way I could successfully complete the "install linux" dashboard option from the command line?
is there another way I can modify or replace files via ftp and or the command line that would result in me getting the "run linux" dashboard option in place of my current "xbox live" option?

any way I could just ftp a couple files over, run a command from the command line and make my xbox linux enabled?

I'm staring at the harddrive contents...there has to be a way! please help.
