My 360 has an ms28 and I have a DFI ultra-d board which i'm using to flash the 360 with. I have all of the utilities on a floppy that are needed but when I get to the part where I enter "mtkflash r /m orig.bin", select my SATA device (there are 4 in the list, I tried them all multiple times) and then hit escape I recieve Status 51 should be 70. RAID is disabled in the bios and there is nothing connected to the motherboard except for the SATA cable going to the xbox and one IDE cable going to a normal dvd-rw drive because the computer will not startup without this plugged in. I have tried attempting to flash it turning the xbox on and then the pc and vice versa, same problem either way. I also tried using the Enable0800 which didn't help.
Any ideas what I could be doing wrong / should try?

nf4 chipset will require the vcc trick, basically remove a resistor on the board of the ms28 and put a switch in its place ( makes future flashing easier.
or you could buy a sata card wioth a via chipset.. that will make flashing the drive a peice of cake.
all the info is on this forum.. search and you will find
