I'll start off with schematics over what I know about the Light bar. I have some more stuff to come when I get more time.

Lightbar info:
Schematics
Tutorial to make the Light bar Always On

Description:
As you can see on the schematics, the leds get fed 12V through a 300ohm resistor. There are fuses on both pin connectors, don't know what ampage they are rated for. As you can see the source is not found yet, but its a PWM signal. My first guess was that it was the RTC chip was the source, but we couldn't find anything. We are looking in to it. If you want the LEDs to be constantly on you can just connect TP52 to ground, not though that you will loose the protection of the fuse on that side (shouldn't be a problem).

Cooling info:
How to have the fan always on to prevent overheating

I suspect that this will be a heavy moderated thread, don't go too of topic, the mods can gather the info up to this first post.

happy hacking.

light bar schematic has been updated. The pin that controls the light bar has been found, its pin C5 on the CPU. Not sure on the numbering, but I think its correct.

I can't wait for unsigned code on this sucker. Then we can do some nice software mods for the light bar (and other stuff too of course!). And its now entirely clear that a firmware update could bring in some more nice features for the light bar.
