Here are some high-resolution pictures of the "Xbox 360 Core System Blue Dragon Premium Pack [First Time Limited Edition]" (import now - 399usd/305eur) released last week in Japan. The pack includes a normal Core system, 5 Mini Figure Set, a Blue Dragon Faceplate and the 3-DVD Blue Dragon game of course. It's a nice package for the Japanese to get to learn the Xbox 360 (street price over there is only 29800yen (~255usd or ~192eur)) ... however a Premium Xbox360 (with HD) or a nice LE memory-card would have been useful to store game saves on (that's usually pretty useful with an RPG ;)). Note that the Blue Dragon game is region locked to NTSC/J systems and in Japanese only.

I can't say I care much for the faceplate or the figurines, but I'm psyched for the game.

Yeah it will eventually come out in N-America and EU.
Don't expect it before summer 07 tho.

Actually, you got the Mountain Dew LE

But so far there has been no real LE Xbox360 anywhere.
This is a LE package with some figurines and a faceplate ... but the Xbox360 itself it still the normal boring white retail unit. I'd love to see some real LE Xbox360 consoles.

Ill address a few questions with this post, so i hope they help...
As for blue dragon in the USA it may be soon as this months OXM has some type of trailor for it so that may be a good sign.
As for LE units the US is the biggest market and always gets screwed over the MD LE don't count cuz it wasnt at retail, the only one the us got was holo green unit, canada got clear, halo 2 blue, probly the green to but i dont know 100% i knoe europe and japan got the blue and clears as well, as for the 360 there have already been like 3 LE units in other contries fifa and blue dragon and another I think that escapes me, not to mention LE face plates in japan europe and austrailia.

I wouldn't really call this a true LE package, it's just a faceplate and some toys...

Still this it is pretty annoying that the US never gets any cool packaged like this. I think the face plate looks cool and would love to have all the extra limited edition freebies.

Xbox.com just changed the release date of Blue Dragon in the US from Q4 2006 to TBD. If they we're shooting for this holiday season and missed their deadline, I don't see the release being too far off. I mean, what's left to do, translate?
