Hi all I've had my Xbox 360 a while now I have the official Microsoft component cable and a JoyTech VGA Cable.

I have a 32" LCD Maxim tv downstairs which I connect my 360 upto using the Joytech VGA cable and the picture is very clear and lovely colours.

Upstairs I have 19" Samsung SyncMaster 940MW LCD tv/monitor i have my 360 connected to this with the component cable the Microsoft official one, the display is good and very vibrant colours.

I have connected the Joytech vga Cable to my Samsung SyncMaster 940MW and I would say the picture is slightly better than with the Microsoft Component cable but the colours are washed out.

I know this is not a uncommon problem people have with VGA cables on some displays.

What im asking is it worth buying the official Microsoft VGA Cable to try on my Samsung SyncMaster 940MW to see if the colours improve or is it just the Samsung itself not been at its best with any VGA Cable?

As I say I cant fault the Joytech VGA cable on my Maxim 32" LCD downstairs.

I don't really wanna buy a Microsoft VGA Cable if its gonna do the same results on my 19" Samsung.

Any help or opinions greatly appreciated smile.gif

No its just that your VGA input has a completely different set of settings and they should be changed...increse contrast...decrease brightness...decrease color slightly

Well when ive used the JoyTech VGA cable before on my Samsung lcd/monitor and the colours are washed out and the colour needs to be increased if anything.

Ive tweaked the settings and improved things but still washed out.

I was wondering my Samsung lcd/monitor also has DVI input on it do you thing its worth getting on adapter and plugging in the VGA Cable into that?

I know it wont be a DVI source signal just VGA through it, but I maybe thought the settings on that port might be slightly different and maybe give out better colour.

Any thoughts all appreciated

Many thanks
