I know the whole "usual places" deal, but i dont know what to do. Should i get a auto installer or something?

Im running a xenium ice pro 1.6

By "DVD drive skip" do you mean you want to boot with the drive disconnected? or you have a skipping DVD drive?

You need to disable dvd check in your bios using a bios editing tool.

Your bios is stored on your mod chip... look here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BIOS
I suggest you do alot of reading before you venture into the unknown and do something you regret smile.gif

I know what it is, Ive never done this before though. I really need this done.

I go to edit my evox.bin from C:/BIOS but i get some kernal error

Is there a guide i can read on how to do this or is it something i should just know?

im pretty sure there are x3 bios already set up for no dvd drive but i don't know which version that might be.

You can only use x3 bioses on x3 chips, he has a xenium dry.gif

If someone modded for you how could you know?
I didn't mean to insult your intellingence, you just sounded like a total noob.
I'm assuming you used evtool to try to edit your bios... some versions of the evox bios aren't compatible.
Search around on bios flashing/editing, you'll soon catch on

Ya, im a n00b on this stuff. I Can install chips and soft mod of course, its just this stuff that matters i dont have a clue on
