Well,

I was inside the 360 as I have a clear case and by accident leaned on the dvd drive (disc in) suddenly it went silent (almost) I though crap.

Well what happened is magnet on dvd drive was pushed down, so I figure hmm seemed to still work.

Well so I tried something got a tiny piece of plastic to push the magnet down slightly more than normal and now the drive is silent and had no game issues.

I have a clear dvd drive mod by way so no housing on top.

All is silent and barely can hear it as i've got the whisper fans too. I hope i'm not screwing with its life or anything. unsure.gif

I just realized the other day that the loudest sound coming from my system is when the DVD Drive runs... I wonder if what you did is the "good way" to solve this! wink.gif

Update us now and then to know if it's still ok!

The problem with posting a pic is the case is so flumsy,

If you look where the dvd drive is I superglued a piece of plastic to the case directly underneath where the magnet is pushed down, just enough to be like pressing your finger to it.
This picture was from when I first put it together but you can get the idea.

Still works perfect and loading/performance still good, not had 1 single disc reading error and played for hrs

Either that or a good way to screw up the laser, it is too early for me to tell yet. But I have not yet heard the disc move, except the obvious when the mechanism is moving the laser up and down but still quiet.

Blue Leds With Black And Red Faceplate? You need it to match the colors are all out of sync.
