anyone no how to use this it doesnt do anything for me
open a command prompt. drag xbefix.exe onto it, add a space and drag the default.xbe that needs to be fixed onto the cmd prompt. press enter.
eg:
"C:\Xbox Applications\xbefix.exe" "C:\Xbox Backups\Halo 1\default.xbe"

I'm not sure I follow this argument. All this does is fix the .xbe files that a LOT of backup/copy programs patch automatically without you necessarily realizing it. Without this tool, you'd need to go find your original disc and then extract the files with some tool that DOESN'T tamper with the .xbe files. As far as I know, most methods of creating backups DO tamper with the .xbe files. So, this tool makes life easier as it will quickly fix the .xbe so you can use it on the 360. As far as making a backup from a backup, just destroy your original backup with the patched .xbe after you use this method to create the Xtreme compatible one. What would you need it for anyway ?
Some programs, like QWIX, now make a default_orig.xbe in the root folder before patching it. Sometimes you can swap that for the patched xbe instead.
