to mrc92's question yes you can put things on your hard drive using a cd pick what you want for example xboxmediacenter (XBMC) burn it to a disc stick it in your xbox go to file xplorer or launch the cd(Datadisc) and on the left hand side bring up the d drive and on the right bring up the f drive inside f drive press start and create a new folder call it "apps" go inside that folder and now go back to the left hand side hilight the folder XBMC and press start then copy now turn off your xbox, when you turn it on it should be in the applications folder or direct on your dashboard like another link depending what dashboard you have

Good luck

to singh400's question no you cant because you can only FTP to a modded xbox, but if you are desperate to do it without using an action replay then research hotswapping.

Good luck

Further to this point, if you have a USB memory stick, could that be used instead.
I've got a similar problem where I can't read cd's or DVD's burned from my pc and I think the xbox network connector is fried as it won't work on settings and a cable I know to work. (I use them for my 360)

So I wondered about using a memory stick, as I have various ones and an xbox-usb cable. But I can't copy anything onto them from my pc. Ideally I'd like to copy XBMC, so I'd need a programme to let my pc copy the files onto the formatted card. OzX only allows this for Fatx Image files.

What can I do to accomplish this?
