Xtrem F/w A's And B's Versions? Why Is That?, the difference between those 2 versions ? Options

I just recovered my 360 to original from a bad flashing
flashed a TS ms25 with 4.2a and got me an E 66 on screen
now Im ready to reflash but I think now Im gonna try xtrem 5.0

but still I don't know what should I use a or b?
I've read a's reads media faster than b's

but then why 2 versions?
that's the answer I have'nt found

it depends on F/W versions? I mean like ms25's use "a" and ms28's use "b"?
or it depends on backup media you gonna use

any advices/help apreciated

Its all in the readme file that came with the package.

Taken from 4.2(because I havent got 5)

FOr Xtreme 4.2A default backup Read Speed is same as original game disks 12x. When Original Game disk is booted, all subsequent backup loading will be at Quiet/Slow Read mode, Original Game disks are unaffected. Turn console off/on to reset back to Default backup read speed (12x). Quiet/Slow Read Speed is for quiet operation and/or cheap DVD+R DL media.

FOr Xtreme 4.2B default backup Read Speed is Quiet/Slow 2-4x. When Original Game disk is booted, all subsequent backup loading will be at Fast Read mode 12x, Original Game disks are unaffected. Turn console off/on to reset back to Default backup read speed for backups (2-4x).

for me this is what the diffrentce is saints row driveing from city to city fast i get a freeze fro a sec while it loads the next map it is only a second but i do notice it .
