i was installing a spider chip and their is a resin on the 1.6 motherboard so i had to use an exactoknife to stick in the holes and carve the resin out of them so that the wires could get a connection.... however i think i carved too much or too deep... on the installation guide it said there is a way to fix the motherboard, but it didnt say how... does anyone know how to fix it?

I'm afraid I did the same thing to the d0 hole. Does anyone know if it's possible to burn out the d0 hole and if there is an alternative hole to use if the d0 location is no longer available?

This isn't the correct forum at all. He's talking about installing the Spider 16 solderless adapter for the SmartXX.

If you have a board with resin on it, then you cannot install the Spider16. It's nearly impossible to clear out those holes enough to do so.

If the board still boots up, then you're best off soldering the chip in. It's really not as hard as it seems to do so.
